On what used to be a dairy farm, smallish one and two story bungalows smile out onto the streets of the Miles Street Area Neighborhood Association. Most of the houses were built in the 1940s and have mature trees providing shade to residents and visitors, alike. Boasting one of the few cul-de-sacs in the city limits, a large park-like median on Garland St., and Prospect Park bordering the neighborhood, kids feel safe and secure while riding bikes or playing sports outside. If you walk through the neighborhood in warmer weather, you're sure to be greeted by some of the long-time residents (some of whom are the original owners of the houses) rocking out on their porches or by gardeners tending their yards.
